A lot of ways to help you both breathe again

Shanti and Me is where dog hikes, grooming, and sound baths live under one roof, so your dog can actually relax and you can feel your shoulders drop a little too. Everything I offer starts with the real animal in front of me and the human who loves them.

Shanti's Pack

Hikes that settle the nervous system

Monday through Thursday, I gather a small, carefully matched pack and head into the foothills for off-leash adventures, river time, and simple impulse work. Dogs come home tired in the good way, more grounded, and more themselves.

  • Small, curated packs of well-matched dogs
  • River outings, enrichment, and calm impulse work
  • For dogs with outdoor experience and steady manners

The philosophy

Small acts of care, repeated daily

This work is not a grand gesture. It is the quiet, consistent work of reading your dog's signals, protecting their calm, and meeting them where they are.

Whether it is a groom, a hike, or a sound bath, the goal is the same: a steadier nervous system, a deeper bond, and a dog who actually feels safe with their person.

The grid

Everything under Shanti and Me runs through the same lens: nervous system first, land-based, and real. No performance, no corporate polish, no pretending this is something it is not.

Body

The hands-on, day-to-day animal care. Kennel-free grooming and in-home pet sitting for small pups and seniors, where consent-based handling and body-language reading come before the schedule.

Grooming and pet sitting

Mind

The education side. Nature-informed work with women and their dogs, plus consults on nervous system regulation, consent, and body language for the people who live with them.

Eco-somatic work

Spirit

Shanti Sounds. Sound baths, Reiki, retreats, and land-based gatherings, from the Silver Fork Lodge to a hospital chapel to your own living room.

Shanti Sounds

Fur

Shanti's Pack. Trail work, off-leash canyon time, river wading, and real outdoor hours where dogs get to be dogs. This is nervous system care out there, not a fitness bootcamp for your dog.

Gather with the pack

Beyond one-on-one work, I host gatherings throughout the year: pack meetups, small circles, and seasonal events that bring dog people together on the land.

Good to know

Questions I hear often

Do you work with anxious or sensitive dogs?
Yes. My approach is patient and intuitive, especially for dogs who find grooming, new people, or busy environments overwhelming. I move at their pace and build safety first.
What makes Shanti and Me different from a typical groomer or dog walker?
Everything I do is nature-informed and nervous-system-first. I am not rushing your dog through a service so we can check a box. I am tending their whole body and the relationship they have with you.
How do the pack hikes work?
Dogs are matched into small, compatible groups and taken to trusted east-side trails and river spots, Monday through Thursday. I keep groups intentionally small so every dog is seen.
What areas do you serve?
I serve Millcreek and the surrounding east-side communities, including Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake City, Murray, Sandy, and Draper.
Can we meet before booking?
Of course. A quick call or meet-and-greet helps both you and your dog feel comfortable before your first session.
