Millcreek is home. The grooming table, the sound bowls, and the boarding spare room are all here, which means Millcreek clients get the shortest notice, the easiest reschedules, and the occasional last-minute opening that never reaches the calendar.
It also means the canyon is right there. Millcreek Canyon is one of the few canyons on this side of the valley where dogs are actually welcome, and the upper trails allow off-leash on odd-numbered days. Most Millcreek pack hikes start at a trailhead within ten minutes of your door.

Where Millcreek dogs and I actually go
- Millcreek Canyon, the everyday trail. Dogs are welcome, and the upper trails allow off-leash on odd-numbered days
- Neff's Canyon, a short, steep climb out of Olympus Cove for dogs who need to work
- Tanner Park and the Parley's Nature Area, the off-leash creek bottom, good for hot afternoons
- Canyon Rim and Evergreen, quiet neighborhood loops for seniors and dogs coming back from injury

Do you charge a travel fee in Millcreek?
No. Millcreek is home base, so there is no travel charge and I can usually work you in faster here than anywhere else in the valley.
Where do the Millcreek hikes actually start?
Usually a Millcreek Canyon trailhead, sometimes Neff's Canyon. I pick the route by the dogs in that day's group, not by a fixed schedule, and I plan around the odd and even day off-leash rule in the canyon.
Can I drop my dog off instead of a pickup?
Yes. Plenty of Millcreek clients drop off on their way to work. It is often the calmest option for dogs who get worked up about the car.
